Vanza ("we", "us", or "our") provides a social pinball leaderboard platform for players and venues. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. By using our website, app, or venue tools, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
From the marketing site (playvanza.com). If you submit our lead form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, venue name, city, estimated number of machines, the plan you're interested in, and any notes you add. We do not set analytics cookies on this site.
From the Vanza mobile app. When you create an account, we collect your email address, a display name, and an authentication identifier from your sign-in provider (Apple, Google, or email). When you submit a score, we collect the photograph of the machine display, the machine and venue IDs you're playing on, the time of capture, and the score our AI extracts from the image.
From the venue dashboard and TV wall. Venue operators provide their business name, city, the list of machines in their venue, and any moderation decisions they make on submitted scores.
Automatically. Our servers log technical information needed to operate the service: IP addresses, device and browser metadata, timestamps, and error traces.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the service: to display leaderboards, verify scores, run the venue dashboard, and send the TV wall its live feed.
- To improve score verification: machine-learning models are trained on anonymized submission data to reduce false positives and detect tampering.
- To communicate: we respond to support requests, lead submissions, and send occasional service updates to account holders.
- To protect the service: we investigate abuse, fraud, and violations of our terms.
How we store information
Vanza runs on Google Cloud Platform and Firebase, with data stored in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We retain account and submission data for the life of your account. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and remove your submissions from public leaderboards within 30 days. Aggregate, anonymized statistics may be retained.
Third parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers we need to run Vanza:
- Google / Firebase — hosting, database, authentication, and storage.
- Email provider — transactional email for account, lead-form, and support communication.
These providers operate under confidentiality obligations and use your information only to perform their services for us.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use analytics cookies on the marketing site. The app uses session cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers anywhere in the Vanza service.
Your rights
You can:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information through your account settings.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Export your submission history in a portable format.
To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@playvanza.com.
Children
Vanza is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced to account holders by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
